Meet
Dr. Jose A. Talavera
Dr. Jose A. Talavera—known affectionately as “Dr. T” by his patients—was born and raised in Lima, Peru. He moved to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue higher education, earning his Biology degree from Boston University and his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Tufts University.
While in dental school, Dr. Talavera served as President of the Hispanic Dental Association’s student chapter and was actively involved in serving the local Hispanic community. Today, he brings that same commitment and compassion to his Miami Lakes practice.
With a calm demeanor and a gentle touch, Dr. T has earned the trust of patients who have long struggled with dental anxiety. He has undergone extensive training in sedation dentistry, including nitrous oxide and conscious sedation, to help even the most apprehensive patients feel comfortable during treatment.
